Over the years we have been blessed with the opportunity to raise all natural Jersey Steers and Berkshire Pigs to provide food for our family. Obviously we raise more than our family can consume so we offer the additional meats for sale to those who may be looking to fill their freezer with meats that are far better tasting than any you will find in the local grocery store. We provide our animals with pastures that are free from fertilizers and pesticides. They receive a steady diet of fresh water, green grass, clean hay and grains that are free from harmful chemicals, steroids and/or antibiotics.
Jersey Beef
Consumers, Butchers and Chefs have consistently rated meat from Jersey cattle as being more acceptable than conventional beef breeds due to its greater tenderness, juiciness, flavour and overall acceptability. The meat is very lean and therefore does not have a lot of cooking loss. Due to the smaller size of the full grown Jersey steer the processing into whole steers, half and quarter sides equates to a more affordable price per order. Beef is available in whole steer (approx 300 lbs), half side (approx 150 lbs) and quarter side (approx 75 lbs).
Berkshire Pork
A resounding yes is what you will hear from anyone who has enjoyed the succulent flavor and tenderness of the pork that comes from our Berkshire Pigs. The combination of tender, juicy and flavorful make it a top choice on the menu of any Chef. Until recently Berkshire pork was produced only in Japan. "Kurobuta", black hog, is prized in Japan almost as much as Kobe beef. Due to the genetics of the Berkshire breed it provides the flavor that has been missing from pork for many years. Pork is available in whole pig (approx 130 lbs) or half side (approx 65 lbs).
